Help Ahmad and His Family Survive in Gaza Ahmad is a brave 23-year-old man living in Gaza, doing everything he can to keep his family alive amidst unimaginable circumstances. His family of 11 people, including his parents, his partner’s siblings, and their young children rely on his strength. The youngest is just 1.5 years old, and the oldest is his father, who is 58.
Ahmad and his younger brother both suffer from asthma, but with no inhalers available, even breathing is a daily struggle. The constant dust and debris from their surroundings only make it worse. Despite this, Ahmad works tirelessly, often risking his own health and safety, to ensure his family has the basics. He has been injured multiple times fleeing danger, including needing surgery just to walk again.
They have no stable income. Ahmad and his brother try to find odd jobs, offering to carry or move heavy items, but work is nearly impossible to find. With limited internet and only one shared phone, they rely on the kindness of others to survive.
